can i get some help please..

ok,i was looking around on the internet for places to order reptiles,i was thinking of ordering from either henry piorun,or port credit pets, they both look professional, but i found this place on the internet..

http://www.angelfire.com/fl3/Maximumreptiles/index.html

there prices are amazing, and they have every snake i want, but the problem is if you read at the top,it says

"Our goal is to provide our customers with quality reptiles whether captive born or wild caught.
We will always bring our customers the best possible prices. "

now tell me whats wrong with that?

i would love to order some snakes from them, sweet prices..but would it be safe to order from there?
i dont need to order a baby retic for 40$ from them, and it ends up being a evil little bugger..

can i get some opinions?

cause i will be ordering a few snakes in the next month or 2,some babys, and 1 or 2 pairs of adults for my breeding projects im planning in the future(yes i know, all i do is read read read about breeding)

if you guys think i shouldnt order from here, are there any other places that will ship to montreal canada?and i dont need to make a minimum order of 1000$

let me know..

hey Iceman,
First off, I noticed your from Canada. It would recommend purchasing your snakes from a Canadian breeder, as shipping snakes can get costly as well as complicated. That website you attached has a lot of animals available for good prices. Personally, I think they are wholesalers and most of their animals will be wild-caught. That's just my opinion though. Your best bet is still to find a Canadian breeder.
Good Luck
Steve

Getting the snakes from Canada is your best bet unless you are wanting to wait a couple months to a year for paper work. Like chryseis said, costly and complicated. I also agree that most of those animals are most likely wild caught. If you are getting large snakes and you don't want them to be 'little buggers' then I would suggest not getting wild caught. Henry Piorun is a very good breeder. The majority of my animals I got from or through him and I have never had a problem with any of them. I would highly reccomend him. (Great guy as well) As for Port Credit myself I have never dealt with them but have no reason to think they wouldn't be just as good. Hope that helps

Alecia

thanks guys, yeah henry sounds very good..not bad prices, nice snakes...but in a discription of a snake,he would say it's "very docile and calm" would that be true?

oh,lol,i dont mind little buggers at all,my burm acts all big and bad when shes in her tank, striking at the glass once in a while, but once i take her out,she acts like a little puppy..
man i love burms!

If it says that then it should be true. If something is nippy or whatever he will normally say so. When you're a breeder like he is you can't afford to get a bad name by lying. Especially in Canada where the reptile circuit is so tight.

Well I've held a couple of his bloods and borneos and they were fine. I've seen him handle his retics and they are kinda wiggley when he first takes them out but once they are out they're ok. It really depends on the snake AND the handler. Maybe it's just cause he's so confident when he goes to hold his snakes. I know they can sense that. However, I have been bit at his place. I caught a little new born Kenyan Sand Boa escapee! Little Bugger made me bleed. LOL

your kidding!a little tiny cute kenyan!there so cute,i actually was gonna get a few, lol, but i try to stick to bigger snakes, thats why you'll never catch me with a corn or kingsnake and so on...
and about the handler..when i first got into snakes,i had a little rough green snake, and i was scared to touch it at the place, and after i brought it home,it was a ball python that made me not scared of snakes..then of course i got a burm...now i am not nervous at all when it comes to snakes,i hold alot of the snakes at the reptile shop near me,i hold my burm all the time.
thats why i decided to move onto bloods, retics and so on..cause i can handle ALOT of pain,so now when i hold my burm,my uncle says"its gonna bite you!) so what i do is put my finger infront of it's mouth, and it just sits there...burms are amazing!i will for sure be getting an albino and 2 het for albinos from henry...i just dont know what to get next,lol..oh,and before i hear those storys about dont get those snakes if you dont know what your doing, and all that crap(no disrespect to anyone that says that)
all i do in my free time is READ READ READ READ READ!i read about every kind of snake, not only the ones i want..i print out pages and make books out of them,lol..and i have alot of pages on the snakes i have and want..just to let everyone know, lol
and thatnks alot Leviathan for answering me,i dont get answers alot..
