do gargoyle geckos change colour. i have not read about this anywhere?

Gargoyles do change colour between day and night, but it doesn't seem to be as much difference as you'd see with cresties. Even the leachianus will change a bit.

The pictures below are of one of my pairs in 'wide awake' colours.





And in sleeping colours (female on left, male right)



Sorry this last one isn't the best for seeing their colours, but it does show enough difference. It's the only one I could find at the moment.

It's quite okay to post about other Rhac species in this forum, it doesn't have to be just ciliatus. Since there's no other Rhac forum, and they're related with similar care, this can be considered the General Rhac Forum.

I have seen a gargoyle gecko that was black and white marbled. Was it some kinda morph or something because I have not been able to find another one like it anywhere?

my gargoyle goes from pure white to almost black. starting to see a touch of red showing up in places too
