ok, now.....questions: what would be the best setup for a 2003 hog isle boa? Rubbermaid, or aquarium?

Mine started in 10g tanks laid on their sides and then they went into rubbermaids and now they are in my rack.
I didn't want to start off in a rubbermaid because I wanted to see them.

I only use Rubbermaids for my Leos....never tried them with snakes so I wouldnt know sorry

Hogs or Rubbermaids? I have a lot of both you know. 
If it's rubbermaids your talking about, I think they're great. They're light easy to clean and easy to stack or use in a rack.
If it's Hog Island Boas your talking about, they are my absolute favorite reptile. If I did love all my other snakes and projects so my I might work just with Hogs. The only other reason I'm not working just with Hogs is because if I make the step where I work with and keep and breed only one type of snake that means I'm truely just keeping snakes for breeding them and I don't want to be at that stage in this hobby.

All my tanks that aren't being used for arboral stuff are laid on their side. Much more room.
This pic was taken when my first female hog lived in this cage.
Tanks laid on their side stack ver well too.

I really like rubbermaids for just about anything I can (with the exception of Monitors). It's just so easy to provide for thier needs in a rubbermaid. Like Trevor mentioned, visability is limited however. If you do decided to gow ith a rubbermaid, I would suggest you be sure the lid is secure (or use it in a rack) as Hog's can be little escape artists
