Identification, please.

Just got this Cali in exchange for my poorly corn. The storekeeper said she was a banded but I was wondering if someone could give me a better description, please.

BTW, the box came taped but I removed it after taking the piccie.

Not sure what you're looking for when you ask for a "better" description, it's a banded California Kingsnake.

Looks more like an abberrant banded to me & I'd guess its a coastal phase. The bands seen definitely have abberrancies, thus the abberrant & coastal based on the duller white & black. Desert phase kings are a much brighter white with more contrast. Other than that ya its a banded California king from what I can see. Mark

Thanks. The white is actually more a dull yellow. it's hard to tell because she is nearly due to shed.

My other one is a striped desert phase and her markings are really clear.

Well, I would describe her as chocolate brown and banana. it will be interesting to see how she colours up after a couple of sheds.

I don't know. My other was the same price, though to be fair the store manager swapped it for the corn which cost me £50, so i got a real bargain.
