Thanks Don. The tail is the reason that I picked him/her. The pic is from the breeder. It's fairly accurate for colour. Their is some pink on the sides as well.
Will the speckling stay the same or increase with age? Also, because I like this little one so much, I decided that I don't care as much about it's adult size. I am having it porbed by the breeder, just haven't heard back yet. I looked at it fairly thoroughly and wanted you opinions. It has very tiny, barely visible spurs. Is this any indication of sex?
Thanks

Males do have large spurs, relative to the females, but this is more of an indication as an adult. To get fairly accurate results at that size, you would have to compare the snake to others in the clutch. But again, this isn't always a sure way of sexing. Probing or popping is the way to go.

Congrats on the new addition! S/he does have a great tail pattern indeed! As for the speckling, it generally stays the same I've found, however sometimes they may develop "smudges" with age.

It is a nice boa that for sure but I'm going to go agains't the crowed here, I like normal symetrical tails, not stripes.
My dream boa is one that is 100% clean, no speckles and has a perfectly symetrical pattern from head to tail, all the way to the tip.
Congrats on your new snake,
Trevor

Think you mean uniform? Stripes can be, and are usually symmetrical...
