out today, I noticed this FL. watersnake hiding in a flooded tire track. Completely submerged in an inch or so of water. With all the reflection of the bright sun and clouds, you'll have to look close to see.

Brian, I'd say they are very UN-popular, really. Most people have no idea the mangrove water snakes even exist. And the poor FL. waters, browns,and the rest are still targets for the "Kill it! it's a cottonmouth!" types.
