Pictures of my tegu

My Argentine BW Tegu, who was loose in my house for 3 weeks until I caught her last Sunday. She's calmed down quickly in the past week and now she'll fall asleep in my arms after a soak..

She's small, maybe 14 -15 inches. Before her little escape, she was very fussy about what she ate.. now she eats everything

nice little critter you got there!! btw...does she bite...is she aggressive? My friend had an adult tegu..and that thing was mean as hell. He didn't have it for very long...you had to throw a towel over its head just to be able to get it out of the tank.

Thanks! And no.. she doesn't bite. When I first got her, I broke her of that habit by spraying water into her mouth everytime she attempted to bite. Don't know if that's an "accepted" way of taming, but it sure worked for me! She's not really aggressive.. she'll tail whip and huff in the cage, but once you pull her out, she's a sweetie

Beautiful tegu that you have there ksg! I've worked with a few of them at the evil petstore before, and, for the most part, they were pretty docile. Very agressive feeders though, and, yes, they'll eat anything, I used to call them the store garbage disposals *LOL* The craziest tegu that we had was a small red juvenille; I threw it a pinky and it whipped it around so hard that the pinky flew across the tank and smoked into the side of the tank. *L*
