Avatar?

I know some forums make it so you need a certain number of posts before you can have an avatar. How do you do it here? If not, how do I change mine? I found the list of herp avatars you can use but is there a way I can use my own?

in the user control panel you can upload one. Trust me, this one was not stock

Personally I think they should ditch the stock avatars. Your avatar is a part of your online identity, as much or even moreso than a signature. Some how showing a picture of someone else's animals or a picture you did not take in your avatar just seems wrong. But that's just me.

well it works for people who don;'t have a digi cam and can;t take our own and if u want urs to be unique just snap acouple of pics of ur herps and then everyone happy

I think of the stock avs as being for newcomers mostly, once you see the custom self made ones you start thinking about making one that is more self expressive and eventually get one of your own.

Thanks. Took the pic years ago when I worked at a serpentarium. It just ook a little cleaning up in PS.
