RIP new girl

My new female died today same as the male except that it happed suddenly. she looked and acted great till yesterday morning I made a appointment with a vet for noon and she was dead b4 10 am this mornong. Im very sad. they must have had something wrong with them. signs of dehydration but they were both dringking alot, labored breathing with non of the signs of a respatory problem and very week, she did stop eating like her normal self but she was gravid. Im gonna do a necropsy on her later when i get the guts to do it. All my other guys are great im soo mad. 3 days b4 x-mass. I think im only going to get juvies from now on.

thanks needed to share she was amazing RIP little girl

Ohhhhh, I'm really sorry Brandy. After you told me about her last night, I had my hopes up that everything would be ok for her and you today. When you are ready, I would definately get a proper necropsy done, just to see if there is/was any correlation between the deaths of the two Panthers.

My deepest condolences. It's been a crappy year for us chameleon owners hasn't it.

Thats tough. Sorry to hear about your loss. Its just unbearable to watch something suffer and not know what to do or what was/is wrong. It would be good to get the necroscopy done so you can share with us what may of gone wrong. Perhaps through sharing, things like this can be prevented in the future.

After necropsy we found 42 eggs ready to pop in a week or soo, nothing abnormal at all she looked like she haddent taken a poop in a bit but all was digested no blockage, no signs of parisites. everything internally looked perfect. I am more confused now then ever. I am convinced now more then ever though that these guys had the same problem what ever it was... Thanks for everyones kind wishes. I cant afford to all the tests right now with the holidays, so thats all i found out.

Sorry to bring this up again I was thinking both the new guys lived in tanks b4 i got them(they were very big with as much ventalation as u can get with a tank), althought they showed no signs of a respatory infection other then the labored breathing near the end, could it have been one or could the change from that environment to mine have been the cause just thinking... Oh and another observation about the femal was there where no fatpads in here tummy I saw no fat at all acually could this have been a issue?
