Saskatchewanonians - let yourselves be known
Nice to see there are so many of us on this forum.
The original core members of H.I.S.S., along with a few enthusiastic new residents of the province, and new Saskatchewan herpers are currently discussing what we want to see in a Herp club.
So let it fly, this is the place for us to meet new Saskatchewan herp people.

I went to that HISS page and it seems that it has not been updated for a long time, but I have not been there in the last few months.

About the webpage....
It was created a long time ago, and content has changed a few times. It was made on geocities, by me, while I was learning geocities.
A brand new spiffy one with much more information is on the way, and it isn't being built by me - so it may be less black.
What kind of things would you, as a potential member of the club like to see on the webpage.
Also, after a conference call today, we are taking new memberships now.
These memberships are free. It will be a free club for those who want to join now - if the club takes off and it starts costing money to run, a small membership fee will likely be re-evaluated.
The original 4 executives of the club have agreed to assume some costs personally, to get the club up and running again.
Thanks to ssnakess.com for helping find so many people from Saskatchewan. Manitoba's first ever reptile club was formed just recently, and I think it is safe to say that it wouldn't have been - if for not ssnakess.com.

I love Saskatchewan. How do I go about joining HISS? I'll probably make an appearance at the hall on the 7th.

I'm not sure when it will be ready to release, If I'd be doing it, it would be done already - haha.
What kind of things would you like to see on the page?
It's funny you just posted, because Sheila and I were just discussing what kinds of things could be on the page. She had a couple of good ideas, like information about how to apply for CITES documents to take your pet to the states.

At the present time we keep box turtles, common snapping turtles, an alligator snapping turtle, leopard and sulcata tortoises. There are other turtle fans in Saskatchewan, there are actually quite a few unique species being kept.
