yes u can, the only thing though is it is best to have some variation in thickness and shape for cham's feet, sometimes if is perfectly round and smoothe its hard for them to get a grip. I find stick/branch's to be the best.

I am just wanting to use it to decorate the cage. My wife purchased it at a pagan shop.

The dried stuff is OK. Hard to grip though. She might fall off if it's too smooth and round. Don't know about the live stuff though. I've got a couple of those Bamboo canes. I'd assume theyre Ok. ASSUME. Wait till Collide gets back to ya.

What I did was bought a dried Bambbo stick and then bought the little vine and wraped it around. Also I bought a Stick of it at a Thrift store and it had a liuttle dried Vine around it already.

the bamboo should be okay for your cham, but it may not like it in the enclosure. I found mine to be very picky. It is happiest in a darker part of the house (even in the livingroom with the blinds down) and I water it only once a month. I found that too much watering rotted the roots. So, given that you will be spraying you enclosure every day, and it is under "fake" direct sunlight, it may not be happy. But give it a try. Also, if your cham does climb on it, the stem may become damaged from their little nails. Something else to consider. If you place it at the bottom of the enclosure, your cham may never go near it, and it can look nice. Some stick highways above it with fake vegitation wrapped around it can also offer some shade.

I have seen a bamboo type plant growing in Peterborough. I was told that it actaully is some kind of bamboo. The stuff grows crazy fast and I used it in many different enclosures dried and cut to size. If anyone in that area wants to know where to find it drop me a line.
