Question Morph identification

Hi there. Since I've seen the last post from Collide, I've asked myself what can be the morph of Chamikaze, my 1 1/4 year old chameleon. Here is a picture of him took this morning in his regular mood.

Anyone know what can be this cham ? For myself, I think he is a result of multiple morph blended together... What do you think ?

And Another question I need to know, when you breed your panther, do you introduce the male into the female cage or the inverse ? Do you have any tips to make the male excitated ? My male mated one time (successfully) and since this time, he don't look anymore interested in my females....(weird...)...it's been more than 2 months that this mate have been done...Any clues ?

I'll agree with everyone else that it looks like a blend of Ambanja with something else. Nonetheless, you've got a beautiful animal there.

To answer your breeding questions though, the female should be introduced to the males cage. Realistically, if the female is ready to mate, the male will go over right away and do the deed. It is the females decision whether she wants to breed or not. Also remember, Panthers generally only lay 2 or 3 clutches a year, so maybe the female isn't quite ready for breeding just yet. It might be too soon for her, since her last clutch. Keep trying though.

Or else, you could just have a gay Panther Chameleon much like my Nosy Be. (Not that there is anything wrong with that) I've got 3 females here that strut past him with their tails in the air, they give him that "come hither" look and signal to him that they are ready to mate. What does he do? NOTHING! Argh, I need a decent male around here! Sorry! That's just my rant for the day.

Good luck with the breeding!

You deffinetly need to watch the females when they are introduced together. If she's interested, or ready she'll turn a pale almost white colour, and allow him to approach. If not she will likely turn to a DARK coloration and likely gape at him. The change between normal and receptive is sometimes VERY subtle, so watch closely. I've seen females who for whatever reason when non receptive will retain normal colouration. Who knows why some seem to be more comfortable than others. Mine was very shy, so easy to decifer. Hope this helps.

Hi-

That is a cross, it looks very similar to the one Morgana @ Reptayls was selling a while back. I cant remember off the top of my head but I think it was an AmbanjaXDiego or Nosy BeXDiego.

Hope this helps!

LMAO!

Anyway, that's a pretty cham...

That would suck to be a "Pink" panther and a male, wouldn't it? you'd be getting picked on by all the blues and reds and greens....

Nope, not one of ours, John.
Ours were nosy be and maroansetra (the female was sold as a nosy). Our nosy male gave the male offspring lots of color - very dark blue and green on the body when resting. Only when they saw the girls, did the green turn to red. None of our males was that pale in the body - actually this one looks a bit like "Bard" at Kammerflage.
