Horn worms???

Has anyone tried hornworms for thier chams??? I just ordered some butterworms and waxworms for a pre brumation (i do it for my other guys i have). I seen they sell horn worms i've been wanting to try them for my beardies and was wondering if anyone else has tried them and if thier cham. liked them or not.
This will be neos first butterworms. I hope he likes them. I know my female beardy goes absolutle nuts over them!!!!

I hear they're good. But I personally have never used them because I've never had a herp big enough.

I have fed them to my chameleon. He loved them! However I am not sure how healthy they are for them. That should be something you check before feeding them, eh?

As far as I know Hornworms are one of the better bugs you can be feeding to your chameleons. In the wild Hornworms eat Tomato Plants which are highly toxic to chameleons, so you don't want to use "wild caught" worms, but captive bred Hornworms are more than fine. Hornworms are next to impossible to find where I am, but maybe there will be some at the next herp show in Mississauga.

Have you tried Silkworms yet. My guys go CRAZY for them.

hmm i think i should try silk worms for my guy, but i cant find them....my local pet store doesnt carry them. I dont even kno wut a horn worm is!

i beleive that silkworms.ca is beinging to sell butters and hornworms .. i havent checked lately, but i have heard great things about hornworms. one of the advantages is that a hornworm will gorw to 2-3 inches in 10-14 days, which beats the waiting time for the silkies to mature. they are fairly healthy for your cham, and if you can get them, they are prolly very much worth giving them a try
