Black king snake
Quick pic of an often overlooked king. This '03 black king (L.getula nigra) is one of 5 I just obtained. Original stock from Alabama. I'll post better pics as I take them.

Range is (from text- Kingsnakes and Milksnakes, Markel pg.61) Southern Ohio to southeastern Illinois south to central Alabama and northwestern Georgia. I have had the mexican black kings (L.g. nigrita) for years but only decided to get these this year.
