hey those are some nice pics, where did you find the tiger, i have always wanted to find one, but only seemed to find the spotteds, and marbleds.

hi i was out and the woods and rolled a log over and found a 3-4 inch dark blue-black salmander with lightish blue spots on his sided. Any ideas, It was found in western ohio in a pine grove under a log. The grove is surround by broad leaf woods.

Two salamanders found in Ohio fit your description:
1) Blue-spotted Salamander (Arribystoma Iaterale)

2) Jefferson Salamander (Ambystoma jeffersonianum)

wow i like the marbled salamander. cool colors and pattern.

john white, i have never seen those salamanders in ohio before. i have lived here all my life and usually go down to the creek for a while every weekend. what part of ohio do the normally live in?
