The teeth develop while the snake is in the egg. It hatches ready to eat, teeth and all!

my friend told me that the teeth develop after a while and when there babies it wont hurt at all if they bite. Is this because there teeth arent long enough or sharp enough?

Nope. Your buddy's just wrong. They are born with all their teeth. I guess they grow as the rest of their body does, but they don't "develop" fangs or anything!

Oh, and just to prove it to yourself, go find a snappy hatchlinbg ball and let it tag you. Then you'll know for sure!
