Slow after being fed
Hey, I fed hugh 2 days ago a med. mouse which is bigger than normally feed, and usually about 5 hours after I feed him hes back ouda his hut and moving around speccially at night. But, he hasnt moved out of his hut for 2 whole days, I piked him up a few min ago and he seems alert. What can this meen?

He's digesting his food. Larger meals take a little longer. Give him a little more time, and he'll be roaming again soon!

he prob wants to be left alone to digest his food, nothing to wqorry about.
how old/big is he, you could prob have him on adult mice.

If you have a 2 month old ball, I would get him off mice, and on to rats pronto, unless you want to be feeding your 1500g adult ball 15 mice per feeding, FOREVER!!! Pretty expensive, and labour-intensive if you ask me. I just recently got 4 hatchlings from Don Patterson (thanks Don!), and they are roughly the same age. They all eat fuzzy rats (20-30g) without any problems. I'm also assuming the reason that your ball is normally so energetic after only 5 hours of having eaten, is because his meal was too small, and he's still hungry. Try the rat thing. Hope it works out for you. Good luck.

I duno but dont all bps that eat mice eat rats, i just fed mine a rat the other day

No its not because he is still hungry. Because this is his biggest meal he used to heat pinky rats. I know it too little I learnd that last week!

What can this mean? Well, when I switched one of my bp's to rats, it was also larger than I thought it could handle but she stomped it (it left a crazy bulge too).. Afterward she was also inactive for about two, three days.. And after that, she was out and about..
Just make sure your heat is straight so your bp can digest that meal properly and "on-time"..
As far as switching over to rats goes, that's up to you.. I would suggest you do..

Why did you ask a question if you already know the answer? If your BP is active 5 hours after having eaten, it probably means he is still hungry. Just because you gave a 2 month old ball a medium mouse, (his largest meal yet), deos not mean that you are feeding him a large enough food item. Try a fuzzy rat.

I KNOW! I know i'm not feeding him enough. I bought 6 mice. And I'm going to finish thoes off then I'm going to go back to full sized rats!
