Thanks guys the female that produced the clutch that these guys came from was around 15lbs... these guys look like they will be somewhat smaller, I've been feeding them pretty heavy, and they just don't grow... lol!

Well, when you consider the fact that Fluffy, Bob Clark's huge female, is somewhere in the neighborhood of like 300 pounds... (She may be more or less than that, I'm not quite sure.) Admittedly, most female retics are not quite that large, but it's rather stunning to say that the female, of breedable age and size, that produced the albino above is only 15 pounds.

Some have "dwarf retics" that top out at 14 feet or more, some have "dwarfs retics" that are about 9 feet. Then there are "super dwarfs" which may only reach about 6 feet or so (would love to snag a group of these!!!). The term dwarf varies from breeder to breeder. This was not a reply in to what length Chris expects his to attain, that's for him to answer, but a general answer on dwarfs

The group of retics that I am working with are the result of Bob Clarks original albino male, bred to a Jampea female. The Jampea and Kayuadi dwarfs are what is considered TRUE dwarfs. Wild caught females have been brought in gravid at only 6' in length, and although they can, and most likely will get bigger in captivity, they should never attain the sizes of the mainland populations. In talking with Bob about the potential growth of these animals, I believe these guys will max out between the 8-10' range. The hatchlings themselves are only 50% the size of the mainland variations.
The 15' dwarfs that linds had mentioned are probably the Bali yellowheads, it is not uncommon for these guys to grow to those lengths in captivity, but the ones found in the wild rarely exceed 10'.
The best thing about these guys is how calm and placid they are, definately one of the main reasons why the dwarfs will, I believe, become quite popular!
