Lightbulb Cage Design

Does anyone know of a good cage design with a top opening? Everything built seems to be front opening. Reason for asking is because space is not a problem.

Are you going to climb in from the top to clean it????? I would much rather have a front opening than a top opening. I have a top opening cage now, and it is a real pain in the a** to get into and clean......If I had my my choice I would get a front opening cage...........just my 2 cents

I have a 5 foot long top opening enclosure and i love it. It is also near the ground so its not hard to reach into. All i did was make the bottom, sides and front (glass part) like normal and than the top i cut two 4 inch pieces of wood and stuck them on the front and back of the tank and than hinged the wood thats is left to fill in the gap. I will try to get pics so you can see. go to my galary and try and find them.

it all depends on what the setup inside the tank is like..some are a pain in the a** with top openings others work like a charm
