Question *strokes chin*

I was handling two of my columbians (not sure if they are columbian or surinam red tails.) anywho... and I realized they have irridescent rainbow colouration somewhat like that, but not as intense, as the brb's.
I'm just wondering if this is common, as I have never seen anything like that apart from the brb's.

(oh man.. my spelling is shot tonight)

...

I've seen it in all boids except Green Trees and Emeralds. Even some colubrids have it. Not uncommon at all.

Yup... just like Jeff said... many boids and colubrids do have a degree of irridescence to them...

It seems that white lipped python looks like they have the most irridescence... IMO

One more thing I forgot to add... The rainbows are just caused by light being reflected from microscopic ridges in the scales, kind of like prisms, and it varies from species to species. As Mary showed, retics are really high on the scale, as as the finer scaled snakes such as waters and white lips.
