favorite panther

Hey everybody,
A while ago, I acquired a nosey be panther female and am looking for a mate. I was told that all panther types can interbreed, so I wanted to know what is a nice mate for her? What is your fav panther?
(Or can they???)

Yes, they can all interbreed, they are all the same species, just different colours. I'm a purest though and will only breed my Nosy Be's to Nosy Be's etc.

Favorite morph: No question! AMBILOBE! Those have sssooo many colours packed on to a small body. Yummy!

Cheers!

I have a few favourites. In order of favourability.

1) The extremely dark, rich blue Ambanja blue bars, the Kammers have one, his name is Glorfindel ( the pic isn't there anymore ).

2) The Ambilobe/Sirama/Picasso, especially the ones with the really yellow background and dark aqua bars, http://www.mythicalchameleons.com has some nice examples.

3) The nice reddish (neon) Sambava's.

The dark blue ambanjas take the cake though, I have an orgasm each time I see them.

Yes, they can interbreed as the differences are only aesthetic. However, maintaining the genetic integrity of locale specific morphs is highly desireable in pardalis circles. Intergrades and crosses are usually viewed as less than desireable for future breeding.

Most keepers or dealers that resell the offspring will usually give them the name of the most expensive morph as sell them as such. Naturally, this only dilutes the gene pool and causes confusion and unexpected breeding results down the road.

I personally believe that there is a bright future in designer panthers. There is such a variety in color and patterns that some extreme possibilities may exist with hybridization.
