There are many ways of putting a lizard to sleep and most of them I don't agree with. Freezing is an extremely stressful and painful way of death. Cervical dislocation, dry ice etc I can not do for an animal that I've worked so hard with. I do a lot of rescue work with sickly chameleons, and sometimes, as much as I try, they will not heal from their injuries or their problems. If this is the case, they are brought to my vet to be humanely euthanised there. It is only fair that they die in dignity IMHO.
