Genetic??
We were given this little cutie to raise up and hopefully breed with a friend's females in the hopes that his pattern would be genetic. It's a bit of a reduced/banded sort of pattern, which is what I like. Myself, I love plain bellies!! What do you guys think?

The belly is totally plain and check out the cool border.

I figured I'd post to see what you guys think. I'm not a bp person, but I do like this sort of pattern, which is similar to the male I picked up previously and hey, he was given to me, so what the hey! I hope at the very least, the plain belly proves out.

Katt,
He should prove out......I'd put money on it that you'd produce some that look like him in the first generation when bred to a normal female.
Nice looking little guy!

Very nice looking snake Katt! It looks a lot like the reduced that Corey is working with and he managed to produce some beautiful reduced as a result.
I am quite intrigued by the patternless belly and the light sides. Many dominant and co-dominant morphs display this trait as well. I'd try to find another just like it and breed them togther and you might just get something very unexpected. There seems to be all kinds of surprises popping out these days.
Welcome to the world of Ball Pythons! Now if we could only get Uncle Roy interested.

Great pattern! My youngest female has the same belly as him.... black lines bordering the sides with nothing in the middle. Good luck with him!

Katt,
My original banded male has the same belly as your male (pure white which is boarded with black). Good luck with your little guy! Here are a couple pics of my male to see what he looks like next to his F1 and F2 offspring.
Original banded male on the bottom left, F1 females on the right (mother of the F2's is on the bottom right) and the top right has a pair of F2 bandeds (from original banded male bred back to his F1 daughter pictured in the bottom right). I really like these guys!

Corey, I love those F2's I want one!!
Markus, oh, I'm not really interested in ball pythons. I just got some because I liked how they looked and then I was given this bp with the proposed idea of raising it up with exlusive breeding rights. So I figured, what the hey, I don't care, I get a bp that I like!
If he proves out, the line would probably carry their name, not ours. Vanan and I have NO intention on getting in on the ball market, although I'd love a pied! We're colubrid people through and through!!
Thanks guys for the nice compliments on this guy. I really like him and very pleased he was given to me as he has a great personality, doesn't ball up too much, and has the looks I like.

Katt I just bought a small female from classic one of the sites members I think the pic is still in his galary. Anyway I think she looks just like yours and I'm hopping what you're hopping. Best of luck to both of us I guess!
Cheers,
Trevor

BoidKeeper, does your female have the same plain white belly??
I have a young male that looks like the banded guy.
<img src="http://members.shaw.ca/kattia/malecoil.jpg">
But since he has a marked belly, I figure he's just a cool normal.
