Talking Shared Mothers day gifts...

Well yesterday i went to one of my dealer suppliers and picked up some new critters.. I got me what appears to be a gravid female Emp. scorpion, lets just hope she is and that we have lots new little babies soon... If not shes just super fat and healthy.. My youngest daughter Cassie got a new baby Curly hair T very cute and handable.. Its about 2 to 3 inches and has super bright orangeish color hair.. My oldest Andrea picked up a African Giant Black Millipede, its about 8 to 9 inches very healthy and its color is really nice, has yellowish bands with real pretty redish-purple legs.. All in all i shared my mothers day money with the kids so that they could have a nice day out herp shoppin to......

Ahhhh...Starting them off young hey! Now that is a cool mom! Sharing mothers day is part of being a mom I guess. I called my mom to wish a happy one and she starts asking me if I need anything etc. Always in "Mom mode." Congrads on the new inverts and what sounds like a cool family outing. Hope you had a good Mothers day!

PS: Trin. Chev's are really, really Fast!!! Especally when running up your arm!!!

Nice signature Julie!.........Can you feel the love?

Hehehehe.. My kids grew up with nothing but bugs and all kinds critters.. Cassie when small was always playin with our american gator that we had in the shop also was always hangin out with the frogs.. Andrea use to win all her science fairs with things from scorpions to diffrent T's and a hedgehog once.. They both was raised with and around snakes, frogs, turtles, spiders of all types and all other exotic animals i had , worked with or dealt with... Andrea has helped me run the biz several times she has taught many of kids at her school how to properly own and care for many diffrent critters.. Both my kids love going out to the swamp and in the woods with me to go on bug and herp hunts.. we always have a real blast..... Andrea loves to handle the fast crawling T's, like your cheveron!!! By the way they have a very nasty bite so please be careful with that one... My kids arent little anymore but it was very important to me to always have them learn and work with critters and to know they enjoyed every sec of it.. now they can teach there own kids everything they know.....

That is awsome my mom got me into herps as well. She is from Texas so she grew up with all kinds. When I was young she used to show me garters and salamanders. Now she looks at me funny when I show her my large collection. I always remind her that she created the passion. That always makes her laugh.

I really don't plan on handling my Chev. but it got spooked by a cricket (go figure) and jumped out of the cage landed on my arm ran up to my elbow. I managed to put my elbow in the cage and it went down the side across the bottom, up the other side on to my other hand ( your laughing at me aren't you.) Once I stopped moving it stopped moving. Now it is in a much bigger cage. that was only the third time I held a T. Well I guess it held on to me!
