Light in the enclosure or light in the whole room

Do you think that a reptile room can be illuminated better as a whole or each enclosure independently? I mean in the case of reptiles that do not need UV but only a day/night cycle.

It depends on your setup. Obviously any room would require lighting for your convenience.

In general, lighting each enclosure is your safest bet. This is especially true if you have enclosures with solid sides.

If you use aquariums/glass tanks for your reptiles then you could just light the room.
