Viv security?

How do folks keep their tanks secure? I bought a lock but honestly I'd panicked and put my new ackie straight in because I was worried about heat so I could get the doors out to have a proper fiddle with securing the lock bc there was a panicking lizard scurrying about. Gonna have to catch her at some point to sort her viv and shitting it, not gonna lie haha. So small and fast!

Anyway, I also own a cat and had to relocate the viv to my study so I could lock the cat out. All of this worrying for the lizard's security has me wondering how other folks make absolutely certain no lizards are getting out and no cats are getting in?
