Me in Reptiles Magazine
Hey guys. There is a "Mail Bag" letter in the April Reptiles Magazine from Amanda Shaw from California. That is actually me. LOL. I do remember saying BC canada and I am pretty sure I did give a last name (since my ISP is Shaw....not my last name) but hey nobody ever claimed they were intelligent! So that letter....grossly snipped and edited is actually from me. How cool is that. Of course they only put in the comments they could refute....I will have to go back and re read the article cuz I am sure I read it twice....any way the stuff they left out was my comments about them calling beardies "herbivores" in another articles and the comment about the "one time" I had tail nipping among babies was when I followed the advice of one of their articles about feeding babies less crickets. Figures eh.

It's cool that you got published, but not so cool that they clipped it out! Figures, as long as it suits their needs, they'll use it. They should at least send you something free though heehee... Although maybe some Amanda Shaw in California's opening up a package righhhht now...
Kate
ps - Congrats!

Very cool and even with their editing a very well written letter to the editor. By the way I received a subscription to the magazine as a gift and I have March and April issues which I have read, if anyone that doesn't get the magazine would like them, I'd be happy to mail them to you. Pm me if you are interested.

Thanx guys.
Yes I do have a website at www.yearofthedragon.ca
I get two reptile mags now one from Europe called Reptilian or Reptilia or something and that is A1 in my books. Full of good info. "Reptiles" I consider to be a bit of a fluff mag. Unless your a perpetual beginner it isnt very useful. My husband read the article on Frilled Dragons in this issue and he is not as big of a herper as I am. I asked him after he read it if it was any good. He shrugged and said there wasn't much in it. Even he, a semi-beginner got very little out of it. Actually I have an old Reptiles mag from several years ago with a fantastic article on frilleds in it. The quality and quantity of info seems to have gone down down down! Ah well.
