B&W G.kuroiwae cave gecko update

Well breeding season is coming up for my G.kuroiwae cave geckos, and they're looking like they're good to go as far as being paired up.. The females are looking plump, and they're all generally really healthy etc....

I absolutely can not wait to have some eggs in the incubator again soon, hopefully with the added bonus of finally finding out if this colouration is reproducible or not!

Their markings have continued to break up as expected but they've kept the white colour and there is still no sign of any pigment in the eyes.... I think if you look close enough at the eyes, they look like little star galaxies.. lol

Anyway, I'll stop boring everyone and share some photos of how they have looked over the last several months.... I hope you all enjoy!

Re: B&W G.kuroiwae cave gecko update

A question for anyone else that keeps cave geckos.... When pairing, how long do you pair the male and female for personally??

I had an incident a few years ago when a male bit the females tail and ended up with needing the tip removed... Since then I’ve been careful and only paired for an evening at a time, and remove in the morning to give the female a break..

My method seems to be working but I just wanted to see how others may approach it!

Thanks for reading through all this,
