Sylphie's colubrids (pics heavy)

Woah, I wasn't on forums so long that most of my threads are now closed! We were super busy with looking for a new house, then we needed to move to another, temporary flat, and now we still are trying to buy the perfect home (it's harder than I thought it'd be).

So, I will create just one thread for all our colubrids. This way I can throw the random photos and updates in one place. At the moment we sold some of our snakes, some are still for sale and some will stay with us always

At first I'll throw some pictures from today, both of these boys are now looking for new homes. If you are from Europe feel free to ask about them.

Heterodon nascius poss het. toffe-belly, he's around 1 year old at the moment:

Elaphe schrenckii het. melanistic, he was our holdback from last year. Unfrotunately, while popping as a hatchling showed female recent probing told us it's a male. So even if he's the sweetest, calmest snake I ever had we still don't really need anouther male. I'm sure he'll make a great pet for someone!

There should be updates on all our other snakes in the next few days. Hope someone still remembers me here, haha!

Hi Albert! Hopefully I will now have more time to look thorough the forums and write some posts. I have so many pictures to share now, haha!
Hunting for houses can be really frustrating, good luck for you too!

Re: Sylphie's colubrids (pics heavy)

Thanks Ziggy!

Today I'll spam you with pictures of the snakes that are no longer with us. Some are back from last year or even older so you may recognize them. I just thought that since photobucket deleted them all I will share them again here.

First, our poor Callisto, Elaphe schrenckii, she died in February this year.

And our Thamnophis marcianus boy that my husband named Plemnik. He was my only snake bite! Still can't believe that out of all the snakes the tiniest one was the one who decided to bite me. He was bought by a young girl that wanted small snake.

Re: Sylphie's colubrids (pics heavy)

The big, Orthriophis taeniurus friesei male named Zieft, that turned out to be slightly too long and strong for my tastes. So he went to an older man

Yearling Orthriophis taeniurus taeniurus albin, male named Zieft II. Was really nice looking but super flightly, went to a woman who specializes in beauty snakes more than I

Re: Sylphie's colubrids (pics heavy)

Two corn females, the whiteout called White who was having super poor immune system. After all the problems she went thourugh I felt like she deserved a home where she would be the cherished favourite snake. So she went to a little girl (around 9 years old) who dreamed about white corn... and since her father is one of the very reputable breeders in my country I felt like she was going to a perfect home when she will be favourite pet but still have the proper care of someone experienced.

And albino Redhead who is now with my father He also got one normal female from us, but I don't have any pictures.

And lastly our two Elaphe climacophora sisters that were sold in the last months. Started to turn out really nice looking but were such a biting devils to deal with...

Re: Sylphie's colubrids (pics heavy)

The rest of our colubrid crew is posted today! These are again all old pictures, some were posted, some not. I plan on doing a new photo session of all our reptiles in the next days (if the weather will be good enough) so I hope I will soon be able to post more recent pictures.

Drona, Heterodon nasicus het. toffe-belly female born in 2016 from Czech Republic:

Re: Sylphie's colubrids (pics heavy)

Of course there are also my most "famous" snakes. I can't describe how happy I am every time someone from the other end of the world writes to me saying that he/she saw pictures of these two somewhere and fell in love with the species. I guess they are also what "defines" me as a hobbyist since a lot of people writing with me are like "oh, you are that sylphie with the russian rats, right?".

So here we are, first Elaphe schrenckii melanistic male Orion, now 4 years old:
