Breeding Question

So a couple months ago (May I believe) I wanted to start breeding for the first time. I paired my Bumblebee het hypo with my Pastel het hypo on and off till about last month when all of the sudden the female decided she was no longer interested in food. I dont know how to palpate and I havent observed any sudden increases in size. Could her not eating mean that she could possibly be about to ovulate?

Actually, it seems a bit early for a ovulation in this female but it is more probable that she is "building" towards a ovulation. I would continue to pair them up until certain of an ovulation. The ovulation will be a unmistakeable mid to lower body swelling. Typically follicle growth continues for about 4 to 8 months before a ovulation is seen. Try offering the female smaller meals and see if she takes them.

Yes it's possible. It's also possible you missed the ovulation. It's also possible she just doesn't want any food.

I know it's kind of vague but you'll just have to keep waiting and watching.

Personally I have a good eye for knowing if a ball python is gravid or not but I have to see them in person. There manners just change.
