Smile Hello everyone :) Newbie

Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum and have never had snakes before. The closest I ever got was having two small tortoises as a kid. I was always interested in owning snakes but never had the opportunities to learn about them.

Now that I'm a grown woman (lol), I've been looking into the snake world. I recently became interested in owning a ball python and will probably have many questions.

Any links to generally accepted care sheets or threads on basic ball python care would be welcome! I'm having a hard time finding any general information threads on here.

I look forward to making friends with you all!

-Rae

Re: Hello everyone :) Newbie

when you're looking at the list of different forums, go to 'Python Regius' (Ball Python Discussion) and check out the FAQ 'sticky'. 2nd from the top. super helpful tips all throughout. everyone is extremely helpful here as well, any issues/concerns I have I come directly to this site. It's a blessing for all forms of reptile owners.
welcome aboard!

Welcome Rae... Looks like the snake bug has got another one... Bet ya can't have just one... Just wanted to say, make sure you have the cage temps and humidity dialed in before you bring home your new snake... I know it's very, very hard, but try not to hold it for the first few week; Until it's eaten a few meals... Also you'll want a temp gun... https://www.amazon.com/Infrared-Ther...=heat+temp+gun Their cheap and worth every penny...

Welcome and best wishes Rae. Here's a pretty good care sheet for BPs. Best wishes with your new critter.
