Question about bedding

When I first opened this bag of cypress mulch, it was slightly damp. I poured out part of it for the enclosure and rolled/clipped the rest of the bag and stored it. It didn't occur to me at the time that I'm not actually sure if this is ok. Can you just store damp substrate and use it later and expect it not to mold or anything? I poured some out again today and it still smells good and doesn't seem to have anything bad in it. How do you deal with big bags of substrate that come like this?

Re: Question about bedding

Don't worry about it, Cypress Mulch is pretty resistant to mold. It's always a bit damp in the bag but dries out very easily. You can just close the bag and store it.
