They're both striking snakes. That boa has an interesting pattern.

Re: I'm lusting after two snakes!
Please don't take this the wrong way, but at 66 years old, you're taking on responsibilities for these two animals, one of which will get very large and powerful. You need to consider your ongoing ability to properly care for these animals which will very probably live long enough so that you will be in your 80s and still trying to care for them. Just something to consider for all of us old enough to retire...

. That's the right attitude bc you should always go for the things that you have a passion for especially if you feel it keeps you young. I'm with you !!

I will be perfectly honest, after my wife died in Nov 2015, my snakes actually gave me something to live for.

I am so, so sorry... I know we all have to go there someday but that doesn't make it any easier. How long were you married?

Though I understand your point, The boa is fully grown and a SD that is 6-7ft at age 3 isn't going to be 'very large and powerfull'.. It will stay smaller than the boa in term of mass.
That being said, I'm incredibly envious! Seeing anything even remotely cool in my area is incredibly rare, i usually end up having to drive for many hours to get anything I love argentines, i really miss mine.. No breeders here whatsoever, they're impossible to get with all the paperwork.

Join the club. I was even offered a free extra but my husband said no more for now. I'm working on it.
