Just got a Boa constrictor imperator bast*ard

Hi y'all.

I just got this little beauty. It's an BCI basta*d .

I believe he's a mix of BCI and a regular BCC (red tailed).

What do you guys think?

They told me it's a BCI mix (basta*rd is what they called it). So I'm sure it's a BCI but not sure whether he's part BCC or something else

Looks like a boa imperator intergrade to me, don't see much constrictor in it.. probably a mix of different imperators. Either way, its a good looking boa.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Personally I like snakes with decent dispositions for handling when necessary more than nasty-tempered eye candy, lol. Unless you're planning on breeding for something specific do the genetics of your pet boa really matter? With more BCI influence the max adult size will likely be smaller than a BCC. All around it should be a great snake though, enjoy.

Cool boa. No way to know what it's background really is. Doesn't even look like a mix to me but with that kind of cross looks can be deceiving.

You may be able find out if you had a DNA test done, but god know's what that would cost

I see no evidence of BCC, they probably meant he was just BCI cross, there are many different types/locales of BCI and they've been crossed a lot in captivity so it's impossible to know what something is without lineage information.
