How does this happen?

I don't know if this got posted elsewhere in this site, but here it is.
I have two questions after reading this post:
  1. How did the owner let it get this far?
  2. Is that a woma?

It does seem like the owner could have prevented/stopped that.

1.The owner must have been afraid to grab the tongs after the snake had it or left the rodent scented tongs in the cage perhaps?
2. Yes it is if you look closely in the video it says woma python in the "paper" ad
