Re: My Boa
Yes I did make the enclosure. It's working out really well. Going to be getting rid of the Aspen bedding though next cleaning. Thanks

It's great to see a boa enclosure with so much room.

Re: My Boa
Sweet looking enclosure and snake! I love the little mustache/goatee in that second pic, i have to admit when big snakes are looking at me like that it always causes some nervous butterflies no matter how docile

Re: My Boa
Wish I had the room for an enclosure like that, although I doubt my boa will never get even close to 8'. haha He's in a roomy (for him) 6'x2'x3' (I'm not sure which comes first, height or width, I always forget - this is LengthxWidthxHeight). Nice enclosure! What do you plan on doing with it, or are you going to leave it bare?

Re: My Boa
So Far I've only got a hide on the cool side and one on the hot side. I also have a large water bowl she can get into. I am up for ideas on things to put in with her. I was going to place some wood from the timber across the road. With it being winter i thought any bugs would be dead but after reading decided against that idea. Don't want to bring in any mites.

Re: My Boa
It's very doubtful you'd pick up anything harmful for your snake, you should be more worried for that wooden viv. haha
You could put some fake or live plants in there, fake vines, and if you can find a huge driftwood piece you could put it in there for decoration. Not much room to climb, but I'm sure she'll find a way to squeeze herself up on top of one. Rocks work, too. Just wash with soap and water.
