Exclamation LLL Reptile/backwaterreptiles/reptilecity! WHICH ONE! HELP

hey everyone so heres the deal! I just had a custom cage built for me because after doing months of research and returning back to florida (just got out of the army!) I am getting a blackthroat monitor. the guy who is building me the cage has a 5 foot male and he was stunning and puppy dog tame. I was going to get a sav but he talked me out of it and convinced me on the b/t. Now I have seen a few places that have them. backwaterreptiles.com reptilecity.com and lllreptile.com! I want to get a quality baby b/t here from a reputable place, I don't care about the money difference I just want a well taken care of and healthy monitor. Can someone point me in the right direction? Also on a side note, what is the best reasonably priced digital thermometer and humidity reader?

Welcome and best wishes jb. Thanks for your service. I don't know anything about monitors but on a side note here's a very modestly priced hygrometer.

Amazon.com - AcuRite 00613A1 Indoor Humidity Monitor - Weather Stations

LLL is the only place that actually carries the animals on site. The others sale you an animal that they don't have in their possession. When you purchase it their dealers send it to you. With that being said, I wouldn't go with any of those choices for monitors. Their care is incorrect. I'm sure someone here can give you a better source.

I would personally stray away from backwaterreptiles. If you youtube/google them there are countless horror stories.

Thanks everyone for the input, my new pal who just finished building my enclosure actually recommended a few areas in Florida to get one from and I just purchased my Black throat from Underground reptiles last week and will be picking him up this coming Wednesday!!! I am very excited and wow my friend Michael who built the cage really knows his stuff about all monitors and their specific needs and was a blessing to find. he also sells rats, chicks, crickets, mealworms for sooooooo cheap.

Good luck with underground. They can be a bit sketchy from what I've heard, it's hit or miss. Hope all goes well.
