Enclosure question.

I'm planning on buying a hatchling corn snake, so I started to ask people I know if they had a terrarium lying around somewhere. Miraculously, a friend of mine has an exo terra terrarium (60x45x45cm), which he doesn't use anymore. I am able to buy this terrarium from him for quite a cheap price.

Now for my question:
Would this terrarium be a right size for a hatchling corn? I'm thinking it might be a bit on the bigger side, but as long as I put some hides and foliage in it, I think it might be alright.

Re: Enclosure question.

No such thing as an enclosure that is too big, only one that is too empty or not secure enough. As you mentioned all you need to do is fill it up. Deep substrate for burrowing, lots of hides, foliage, sides covered and you should be good.

Re: Enclosure question.

That's a nice size actually, just make sure the animal has a lot of cover. Besides normal hides etc, you can always add a large plastic plant or something to spread of over the bottom. This way it can move around the terrarium still feeling covered. But you can go the really cheap way and just stuff it full with paper towel and toilet paper rolls!
