Retic virus

Does anyone know what this guy https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-R...19043451530257 is talking about? I don't know what forum he is referring to. Obviously it isn't this one.

Re: Retic virus

Yes, Aubrey Pruitt has lost nearly all of his animals (if not all by now). Aubrey and Samson aren't sure what it is. There was a big long post about it on the Nation a few weeks ago. Basically it manifests itself as something like an RI and the snake develops blisters on it's body and ultimately dies. It's apparently airborne and despite their best efforts it has been to no avail. Several others have come out about it as well but I'm unsure of who they are. Aubrey and Samson were the first to my knowledge. They've had necropsies done and it seems related to IBD, possibly paramoxyvirous(sp?).

Re: Retic virus

It's not just retics either, seems like this guy might have had it to, but he didn't release much info. Would be nice if other parties came out about their experiences and were actually honest with the rest of the hobby...
