Installing Sliding Doors

I am building an enclosure that will have sliding plexi glass doors. But I am not sure how to install them. The guide I'm following says to measure the plexi glass around a half inch shorter in height so they pop onto the track easily. Other guides I've seen seem to install the glass along with the track so it is a much closer fit, but the glass can't be removed. Any suggestions?

Re: Installing Sliding Doors

I've seen sliding glass doors both ways and I would follow the guide that says to measure the plexi glass short. It's a lot easier to clean when you can remove the glass, and there's really no benefit of having the closer fit.

Re: Installing Sliding Doors

Just buy lengths of U channel. One for top, one for bottom. Attach them to the top and bottom, secure them with glue or screws with the plexiglass inside. They act as a track similar to what you use for Sliding glass doors.
