Snake Identification - Northern California Valley

Hey! I hope this is the correct place to post this, but can someone help identify this snake? Cat caught it here in Northern California. We're located here in the Valley close to Sacramento. Thanks!

Looks like a harmless western yellow bellied racer.

Cool, thanks, yeah, google searched some images and it looks just like it.

The cat didn't harm it too much, just had it pinned down. Captured it, and let it rest for a few hours and let him go in a field.
