Pricing of the Giants due to lacy act?

Just had a general question about what your guys thoughts on this were, (I'm getting back into reptiles after about a year off not really sure why I ever got out I love reptiles) My questions is do you think that the lacy act will drive up the prices on the Giants like burmese pythons now that you will only be able to get them in state only?

Been thinking about getting either a pair of emerald tree boas, scrub pythons, or blood pythons. My worry is that the people that breed the big giants might fear that they will not be able to get rid of them and quit breeding them, if that's the case I will get a pair of burmese and breed them to keep them going here in texas.

Prices dropped. Your customer base went from 48 states to 1. One clutch of burm eggs is enough to satisfy everyone in your state who wants one :P

Which is kind of my whole point, there will always be a demand for the Giants, people like me love them but if people quit breeding them it will get harder to find them and thus driving the price up? This is just my logical thinking on this and I could be totally wrong.

I notice with Burmese's the prices and demand have drop. While with Yellow Anacondas demand and prices have gone up.

In NY only people with licenses can have Burmese Pythons. I get them for free, because it is not easy to obtain a license.

Prices for legal purchase would be down, almost worthless as few people keep giants to begin with... add to that the legal issues.

On the illegal side I would say they would rise as the risk of trafficking from state to state were they are illegal have penalties.
