Savannah Monitor Longevity Survey
Given the difficulties of finding out reliable data on the ages which Sav's achieve in captivity, and under what circumstances those ages are managed, collecting records might be interesting and useful, this is a short survey for living and deceased captive Varanus exanthematicus
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/12dG...xavkk/viewform
feel free to spread it far and wide, the more data the better! I'll post a link to the results once they start coming in
If anyone has suggestions on improvements, alternate or additional questions, feel free to let me know

if you could fill the survey in it would be very useful, shouldnt take much more than ~30 seconds for each monitor
would you be able to pass the survey onto Sean too?

Re: Savannah Monitor Longevity Survey
So far we have a 14 year old and an 8 year old, both alive today, awsome!
results are looking interesting so far, but i know there are allot more Savs out there!
Only takes a minute to fill in the survey with information about husbandry and monitors stats, I'm sure you will all find the results interesting!
Aiming to get at least 100 recorded before putting the data up publicly, so some way to go yet

Re: Savannah Monitor Longevity Survey
Have you shared this surveyb on some of the Varanid forums? I imagine you'd reach your quota quickly... though also might get a false representation of the data, I.e. lots of the transient visitors to the forum may have young, sickly monitors in poor conditions...

yeah i'm getting round them slowly, will spread it far and wide
the survey asks for all the main husbandry parameters, so although those monitors which are only a year or so old, wont add much to the longevity aspect, it will be useful to build up a picture of how people are caring for their Savs, and hopefully they will update their info as the years go by or if their Sav dies

Re: Savannah Monitor Longevity Survey
I could try asking the Savannah monitor owners from the dutch forums if they like to fill out the survey, if you think it would help

Re: Savannah Monitor Longevity Survey
I filled it out as best I could for Chomper.
Frustrating that it demanded numbers where I wanted to enter "unknown"
