A non screen metal lid

Does anybody know where I can find a lid for an aquarium that is full metal and not a screen top? I had one and for the life of me I can't find them anywhere. It was a good fit and I want to get another one but I don't can't seem to find any. Thanks in advance

Re: A non screen metal lid

I have one, got it at a family owned pet store, but I live in Canada...

Maybe try finding some local pet stores or on craigslist?

I used to make then myself out of sheet metal. Ask a sheet metal shop to make one for you.

Just curious, whats the benefit of a metal lid and how does the light show through? I've never heard of them, then again, I'm not super into the fish hobby like I am with herps.

Well for one they are much more durable I find, but allow the same amount of light as it is still like a mesh. I still have to use tinfoil to help with humidity as there's a good amount of air flow.
