weird bumps from Rat Pups

Hey everyone. I bumped my snakes up to rat pups, from adult mice, and they ate them with no issues. I checked on them today, and my corn snake has a very odd bump in her side. It looks like the hand or foot of the rat maybe. You think I should keep an eye on it? I felt it and she doesn't mind me touching it. I'm sure it's probably fine, but I'd like a second opinion.

rat pups are not as nutritious as adult mice, you are better off sticking to mice, corns dont grow large enough to eat adult rats, you will get the best nutrition from well developed prey, ie with bones, well developed internal organs, etc, rat pups have none of these

Feed two.

Bigger food does not equal better food.

(edit, some discrepency between sizes I notice, rat pups I buy are <25g, mice can be bought 30g and up)

try large adult mice, or XL adult mice - or 2 as Mikoh suggested.

There's only one store here that sells frozen rodents. (One reliable, high quality place, that is) Their adult mice are the biggest they have. The rat pups are about the size of 1.5 adult mice. So should I try one hopper and one adult mouse? Two adult mice will be way too much.

did the bump go away?

finding it difficult to wrap my head around the fact that a rat pup left a 'pawprint', but an adult mouse (or two) wouldnt?

I'd just keep feeding whatever is cheaper for you/more easily accessible. I dont think the nutritional difference is significant enough to cause a problem.

Good point, Starbuck. I'm just going to feed her rat pups for now. If I can figure out something better for her, I'll change it. But for now, I don't see harm in feeding Pups.
