i would normally agree but in this lake they breed these along with crappie walleye and tiger musky for sport fishing and hold tournaments in the summer

You cant fish in the spillway its nursery waters the whole upper lake is off limits for fishing boating lol but in the main lake it mine as well be cheating instead of fishing you sometimes do catch fish with no bait

You can buy sterile grass carp, they will clean up a pond and get huge.

but what would do with the whole upper lake thats nursery water if you were not breeding them? i guess the queestion would be would it be cheaper just to buy new fish every year or breed your own every year? some die from poor fishing practices and others die naturally so at some point you will have to restock the lake.

That is the extent of my use for carp other than some are pretty to look at in an ornamental pond. Pond janitors. It's a trash fish. around here anyway.
