Hello friends,
Daniel from Central Florida Snake Removal. Got a quick question. I would like to know what your thoughts are about the Cahaba Snake Trap by Buddy Hawkins. Looking forward to replies. Thanks!
I absolutely hate sticky traps! They are cruel because it is a slow and stressful death. The only sticky trap I have seen that I thought was less cruel was the snake guard. I saw these years ago and I thought it was great you could release the animal after capture. The only problem with them is most people wouldn't check it every day so it would most likely be used like a standard glue trap. I would rather someone look around for the snake and only use these as a last resort.
Are you really asking about a snake sticky trap on a reptile forum on how to provide proper care to reptiles? I think that there will be 0 posts recommending you use that...
Sticky traps have to be the most cruel traps for snakes/mice/rats/etc.. They cause a long, lingering and cruel death. I definitely do not support the use of them and believe their sale and use should be banned.
