Profile: Holdbacks, Part 3
For these next short entries, we are profiling our four holdbacks from the 2011 Hills-Alex litter. Born on September 14, 2011, all four just hit their one-year birthdays, and are shaping up nicely. We will cover two babies a week over the next two weeks. This is part three of the four-part series.
Everest is the top male of the litter. While a close contest, his vibrant orange dorsals edged his nearest two competitors to win the top male holdback slot. He is a friendly little guy, never passing up a chance to come out, and even occasionally coming out me meet me at his viv drawer.
Here is Everest as of his birth in September 2011:
Here he is at six months in March 2012:
And here he is at one year in September 2012:

Inside
He now weighs 288 grams (up from 228 when I wrote this), placing him a few months ahead of the usual growth curve for a Brazilian of his age. Going forward, we hope he will develop into a solid orange dorsal-red background specimen.
Thank you for reading,

Re: Profile: Holdbacks, Part 3
AWESOME! I want one. My wife isn't too fond of my snakes. She however does like the BRB's for some reason. So yeah they are the next snake to go in my collection

Re: Profile: Holdbacks, Part 3
Thank you, ZStone! I hear that a lot: that significant others are partial to Brazilians, even when they are not big snake fans otherwise. At any rate, the LGR factory is working hard to mine the next set of little sparklers!

Soo beautiful! I just realized I would like to someday add a '10 female to my collection. We'll see.

Re: Profile: Holdbacks, Part 3
For some reason, when I first read that, I I thought it said "ten foot" female lol.
If I ever sell one of my '10s (or a 10"!), I will let you know!

Thank you, Chuck! He's got his Dad's intensity so far for sure.
