Just thought I would stop in and introduce myself. I've been silently lurking around the boa forums for a couple of weeks now and figured it was time to come out of hiding. I live in Denver and have been hanging out with quite a few boa for about the last month while working at a haunted house. These boas have completely captured my heart and am now seriously looking into getting one. Still doing my research though. There is a C.A. Caramel Sunglow male that I've fallen absolutely in love with and am contemplating on picking up here in the next few weeks.
I'm thinking about getting a "smallish" cage for him at first. I am an industrial designer and would love to build him a nice lavish cage over the next few months. I would wait a little while to get him, but am worried about someone swooping in aand picking him up. He is absolutely gorgeous.
The one thing I have not found much info on is humidity. I live in Denver and it is EXTREMELY dry up here. I would love some suggestion on humidifiers and also what the best humidity level for boas is.
Also if anyone has links to websites or even books with some great information on boas that would be greatly appreciated. I'll probably be stopping in here lots to post more questions over the next few weeks as well. Super excited but don't want to jump into anything without know just about everything I can.
