SnakeBytesTV-What do you all think?

I saw the thread here that discussed BHB's monitor keeping practices, but what do you all think about their snake handling and keeping practices? I'm just wondering-it seems to me like he has a great passion for his snakes and what he does. But what do you all think?

Re: SnakeBytesTV-What do you all think?

I was thinking about BHB when the thread about starting a business breeding snakes came up a few days ago. Brian B def has it down in terms of the business aspect (marketing, cost containment, sales, etc)....I have respect for that. My opinion is that he does care about his animals and he surely appears to have a passion for what he does. I wonder if the average every day stuff mirrors that shown on SnakeBytesTV (provoking biting and such). I can only assume that this is kind of "hammed up" for the show and that the "daily grind" is just like everyone else's job....go in do your stuff and go home. I think that the things they do for the show probably stress out the animals to a degree, and those are things that I don't do with my animals. Having said that, Brian seems to be a good ambassador for the hobby and he has an outlet to communicate with huge audiences. I do look forward to the new episodes of SnakeBytesTV on Wednesdays for a couple of reasons...1) I really dig snakes and I will watch almost anything that showcases them, and 2) It helps pass 12-15 minutes if I happen to be working nights.
